Unleashing the Power of Whiteboard Animation Videos in Business

In today's digital era, businesses are constantly seeking innovative ways to engage their audience and effectively communicate their messages. One such powerful tool that has gained popularity is whiteboard animation videos. Combining the simplicity of hand-drawn illustrations with captivating storytelling, whiteboard animation videos have proven to be an effective medium for businesses to convey complex concepts, engage their audience, and achieve their communication goals. In this blog post, we will explore various ways businesses can harness the power of whiteboard animation videos to drive success.

YouTube and Google found that 46% of global viewers use video content to learn something new.

Reasons to use whiteboard videos

A whiteboard video can help a business in several ways. Firstly, it can help explain the nitty-gritty of each individual business from detailed functions to the high-level ‘headlines’ that define them, capturing the personality of that company’s culture and brand in informative explainer videos. Secondly, they are flexible enough to help people to stay afloat on an ever-changing sea of information. The supercharged power of words and pictures make engagement a very quick win when using whiteboard video to beef up your corporate storytelling. Here are some ways whiteboard video services can help you bridge the gaps created by remote working.

Training and Onboarding

Training and onboarding processes are integral to the success of any business. Whiteboard animation videos provide an engaging and interactive medium for delivering training material to employees, customers, or partners. Whether it's explaining standard operating procedures, demonstrating software functionalities, or educating about compliance regulations, whiteboard animation videos make the learning experience more enjoyable and memorable. The dynamic visuals, coupled with narration, aid in information retention, ensuring that learners grasp concepts effectively.

Explaining Products or Services

When introducing a new product or service, it is crucial to clearly communicate its value proposition and benefits to potential customers. Whiteboard animation videos excel at simplifying complex ideas into visually appealing and easily digestible content. By utilizing engaging illustrations and animations, these videos can effectively showcase how a product or service solves a problem or meets customer needs. The combination of visuals and narration helps viewers understand and remember key features, leading to increased interest and potential conversions.

Report summaries

Sharing report summaries is a great way of using whiteboard videos. The whiteboard animation technique means a lot of information can be brought together and presented to viewers in a way which reveals important findings and their impact, while also paying tribute to the hard work and context that went into making the report. One of the major whiteboard video benefits is that they can be tailored, so you can share your findings in a way that is perfect for your intended audience - why not even feature people from your team in the animation?

Internal Communications

Effective internal communication is vital for fostering collaboration, aligning teams, and ensuring everyone is on the same page. Whiteboard animation videos can be a powerful tool for internal communication within businesses. Whether it's sharing updates, announcing policy changes, or introducing new initiatives, these videos captivate employees' attention and facilitate better understanding. By leveraging the creative storytelling element, whiteboard animation videos make internal communications more engaging, memorable, and inclusive.

Pitching

Pitching just got a whole lot harder, and it was hard enough already. Remote working has only added to the distractions people experience. There are plants to talk to, sourdough starters to feed, so many notifications and zoom fatigue to overcome. None of these or the many other distractions people face make pitching any easier. Pitches need to engage people and hold their attention, allowing the seeds of your ideas to sprout into further meetings and signed contracts. Whiteboard videos are a great way of doing this. They are memorable, engaging and can wrestle even the most abstract ideas into an understandable form.

Marketing and Branding

Whiteboard animation videos offer a unique opportunity to enhance marketing efforts and build a strong brand identity. With their visually distinctive style, these videos can effectively communicate the brand's message, values, and story. By incorporating brand elements like logos, colors, and characters, businesses can create a consistent visual experience that resonates with their target audience. Whether used in social media campaigns, website content, or presentations, whiteboard animation videos help businesses stand out, leave a lasting impression, and increase brand awareness.

Presenting Complex Data or Statistics

Businesses often deal with large amounts of complex data or statistics that can be overwhelming to comprehend. Whiteboard animation videos offer a unique approach to presenting such information in a visually appealing and simplified manner. By transforming data into engaging visuals, such as charts, graphs, or diagrams, these videos help viewers make sense of the numbers. This form of storytelling enables businesses to deliver their message effectively, making data-driven decisions more accessible and understandable.

Whiteboard video benefits

Whiteboard video works so well in these uses, and more, because it has several story supercharging superpowers. Like the curious creatives we are, as we began to notice the views and interactions on whiteboard videos soar, we couldn’t resist taking a closer look at what was happening. We teamed up with Professor Richard Wiseman. We’d been following the work of Professor Wiseman for several years, and had even been lucky enough to collaborate with him. Being the Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, Professor Wiseman was the perfect accomplice, and we were delighted when he agreed to help us.

Together, we created an experiment that compared whiteboard videos with ‘talking head’ videos. The outcomes were surprising and explained what we were seeing in the success of our projects like the RSA Animates series. The research we conducted found four startling differences between ‘talking’ head videos and whiteboard videos. Naturally, we animated our findings.
