Reaching your audience through Whiteboard Animation

The way we consume media is changing, and the rise of YouTube and streaming services is a testament to this. There has never been so much choice for viewers and there have never been so many distractions. These two problems have one answer, high quality and engaging video content. Whiteboard animation informs, connects and entertains, whether it’s a lecture series (like the RSA Animates series we created), stand-alone episodes or as a feature within a show.

Whiteboard animations use scripts, rich visuals, animation, onscreen text and voiceovers. These are unique to each animation and mean that they can be made to the exact requirements of a subject, series or audience. Whiteboard animations are designed to engage and build empathy with viewers, drawing on these same strengths to explain important subjects and share messages.

We created 48 whiteboard animations to accompany BBC Radio 4’s History of Ideas series and explain philosophical ideas, such as this animation narrated by Gillian Anderson.
