A Room In Town

A Room In Town

Explainer Animation

As society recognises the need for better mental health provision, it is becoming clear that easier access to talking therapies is essential. A Room In Town help meet this need, and also provide professional and therapeutic environments.

The challenge

Speaking to an audience of organisations, therapists, potential investors and more, we were asked to create a whiteboard animation explaining the way A Room In Town connects those seeking talking therapy, organisations and therapists. Our explainer animation needed to be engaging, informative and sensitive while delivering a clear call to action.

The animation

Delivering this animation in a professional but sensitive way crucial. We did this through the careful choice of voiceover artist, clear framing and thoughtful visual language. Imagery such as a maze acted as a metaphor for the experience people often have trying to access talking therapies, while the use of a camera lens making blurred faces clear captured the content of the voiceover visually. Our use of a set of keys harnessed the potential in whiteboard animation for the layering of information. As the voiceover developed, new keys were added, each reflecting a key point about the process used by A Room In Town and solutions A Room In Town provide. All of this was delivered within the brand guidelines, incorporating the company logo and ending on a clear call to action.
