The rail sector is exciting and progressive sector. It offers many opportunities for career development and professional growth. Working with the National Skills Academy (NSAR) for Rail, we created a series of seven animations to showcase the potential the rail industry offers, and the routes people can take to become part of it. Find the other four films from this series at the bottom of the page.

The Brief

The rail industry has a lot to offer people as they start or develop their careers. To help Routes into Rail (RiR) share their promotional initiative, we created seven explainer animations to connect with different audiences on the RiR website and social media platforms.

The Animation

Sharing the same style and voiceover, our seven-part series shone a spotlight on the careers; and benefits available in the rail sector and the different paths to accessing them.

To do this, our scripts, voiceover and visual storytelling created an enthusiastic and positive tone to the animations. Using a charming and fun illustration style, alongside a wide range of characters and activities, our visual thinking made NSAR’s messages relatable, memorable and inspiring.

Joined by onscreen text that added extra context and stats, and a big cast of characters this combination of communication streams allowed us to show the scale of careers and opportunities in rail in a way that was entertaining, inspirational and informative - just as the NSAR had envisioned.

The Client

Created in 2010, the NSAR is a not-for-profit membership organisation that provide expert skills and workforce consultancy services to businesses in rail, transport and the infrastructure sectors.
